  2. UFOs . . . AIR FORCE QUASHES RUMORS: An eight-month Air Force investigation
  3. into the half-century-old UFO incident concludes that whatever hit the ground
  4. near Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947 was NOT a flying saucer. Instead, says the
  5. 25-page report made public today, it was just a U.S. weather balloon. More
  6. specifically, a once top-secret balloon designed to monitor the atmosphere
  7. for evidence of Soviet nuclear tests. True believers may not be convinced:
  8. the Roswell incident was the basis of nearly 50 years worth of rumors about
  9. secret autopsies on space aliens, U.S. military conspiracies and flying
  10. saucer pieces under guard on an air base.
  11.     GET ONE FOR THE KIDS: The Testor Corp. of Rockford, Illinois -- the model
  12. airplane company that has annoyed the Pentagon by offering accurate kits of
  13. secret government planes -- said today it's fashioning an alien flying saucer
  14. under study by the military. Look for the Area S4 UFO-model flying saucer,
  15. named for the highly secret U.S. military base in the mountains of Nevada,
  16. where, Testor claims, a dozen interstellar spacecraft may be stashed.
